I enjoy a large glass of wine (usually red) every evening - I'm worried this is doing damage to my liver...is it too much?

A glass, a standard wine glass, is not excessive. But the question you should be asking yourself is this: Do you drink it because you enjoy it, or because you "need" it? Answering that question will tell you if your glass of wine is excessive.
Also, reading the above comments, you should look into the health benefits and the latest research yourself. I have seen the studies that say a glass of red is good for you, but I have also seen ones that say the benefit is actually negligible. And about your liver, if you are really worried, see a doctor. Answers here are no substitute for speaking to a real doctor. |

Well, if your large glass is equivelent to 64 oz, you probably have a problem. But if it is 8-12 oz, I would say you're probably fine. Red wine is actually good for you! Enjoy!

No. Red wine is good for you. 1 glass won't do any damage to your liver even if it was a large glass every evening.

Studies have found that a single alcoholic drink every day is actually better for you than not drinking at all. If it is a single glass, as in not half a bottle, you are not doing any damage to yourself, so enjoy!

Not usually. As a matter of fact, there are health benefits connected to it. Red wine has a lot of antioxidants in it. So enjoy!

No, unless it's one of those whole-bottle glasses. A glass (and maybe an extra half) of red wine a day has been proven to have health benefits.
